Product Description
Aluminium Stearate is a metallic soap with outstanding gel-forming and thickening properties in hydrocarbon oils and organic solvents — making it the primary thickener in lubricating greases (aluminium complex grease) and an important rheology modifier for alkyd paints and printing inks. In lubricating grease formulations, it produces transparent, water-resistant greases with excellent shear stability for automotive and industrial bearings. Applications by Industry
Forms the soap thickener network in aluminium complex greases — producing water-resistant, high-temperature transparent greases widely used in food processing, automotive wheel bearings, and marine applications.
Applied as a thixotropic rheology modifier in alkyd and oil paints — prevents sag on vertical surfaces during brush and roller application without viscosity increase at rest.
Used in gravure and offset printing inks as a gelling and thickening agent to control ink transfer, tack, and print quality in high-speed printing operations.
Applied in waterproofing compositions for textiles, paper, and concrete — aluminium stearate's hydrophobicity imparts water repellency to treated substrates.
