Product Description
Aluminium Sulphate (Alum) is the world's most widely used water coagulant — a position it has held for over a century. In water treatment it hydrolyses to form aluminium hydroxide floc that efficiently captures suspended solids and turbidity at economical cost. Iron-free grades are essential in paper manufacturing where colour contamination is unacceptable, and in the textile industry as a mordant. Food-grade alum (E520) is used in food processing and as a firming agent in pickled vegetables.
